Egytec was established by Amr Shawki the current Chairman back in 1990. The company went through various partnerships and acquisitions and continued growth in both Engineering and Industrial events sectors to expand and cover many directions in both industries.

As a result of the solid connection to the Power & Energy sector in Egypt and the region; the year 1991 witnessed the birth of the first-ever Industrial event in Egypt tagged “Electricx”.

“Electricx” was the focal point and networking arena for Power & Energy during the period 1991-2017. 27 years of a successful story and added value to one of the strategic sectors in Egypt.

Electricx crossed the borders to Sudan and Syria where we helped the markets in these countries too to enhance the level of networking between the governments and service providers.

In 1999, we launched the first-ever fire, safety, and security event tagged “MEFSEC” in collaboration with the CFPA and the Egyptian Fire Protection Association EFPA. 19 years of serving the Fire and Security markets.

In 2002, we complemented our security portfolio by adding the first ever smart cards and digital identity event in Africa & Middle East tagged “Cardex”.

We are continuing our mission of serving the industry through our specialized exhibitions, Forums, and Conferences.
